The patent-pending method uses critical data about site soil condition to create the right water schedule for the site. By using Soil Condition Analyzers, the variation of soil conductance is measured across the watering zone and analyzed to determine optimal run times for watering at the site.

Variation of Soil Conductance can detect many real-time changes that occur at the site. For example, variation of soil conductance can be used to detect:

1. Weather changes (Rain, etc.)
2. Heavy Winds that disrupt the watering cycle.
3. Effects of Soil Compaction / Soil Addition.
4. Effects of Soil Fertilization.
5. Changes in Water Infiltration rates.
6. Water Pressure and Water flow problems at the site.

Once these real-time site changes occur, SoilSmart Technology recognizes these problems during watering and automatically (without manual intervention) adjusts the water schedule. Our product can be used with any existing timers or on new installations.
