G8 Controller Specifications

Station Assignments

  1. G8 Stations capacity: 4 standard, expandable to 8 zones.
  2. Pair of Soil Probes: one per watering zone. Minimum 1, maximum 4 per controller.
  3. Zone 1: must be driven by soil probes.
  4. Zone 2: driven by soil probes or set to track zone 1 watering schedule.
  5. Zone 3 and 4: track zone 1 watering schedule.
  6. Zone 5: driven by soil probes or track zone 1.
  7. Zone 6: driven by soil probes or set to track zone 5 watering schedule.
  8. Zone 7 and 8: track zone 5 watering schedule.

    9. Indicators

  9. Each zone POWER indicator: Green LED, lit during watering.
  10. Soil wire pair OPEN indicator: Red LED.
  11. Soil wire pair SHORTENED: Red LED.
  12. Manual operation: Green LED.

    13. Electrical

  13. G8 is powered by 24VAC solenoid drive from a zone activated by a Sprinkler Timer.
  14. Power consumption: 24VAC @ 90mA.
  15. G8 automatically overrides Timer settings to provide needed run-times and frequency of watering.
  16. The pair of soil probes: 2" L x 0.75" W, non corrosive sheet metal.
  17. Soil probes wires: #16 or better, direct bury, maximum length 800 feet.
  18. Each zone may be individually bypassed and reverted to a manual control.
